Throughout the years, we come to realize that a retreat is very important part of our total well-being.
This is the time where we, together with our colleagues, consciously set aside for ourselves and for God, having a change of focus, a deliberate act of stepping outside of normal routine by withdrawing (not running away) from the noise and pressures of our daily lives.
We temporarily leave the immediate and demanding claims of our social, domestic and work responsibilities in order to be in a quiet place where all our senses are open and ready to listen to God.
A retreat refreshes and revitalizes, gives the opportunity for more time spent in prayer and reflection, and rekindles and deepens one’s relationship with God. One may take this opportunity to more clearly hear God’s call and to seek God’s healing grace and thereby attain a degree of spiritual renewal that can be brought back to their families, schools, or workplaces.
Allow AJ to guide you in achieving your principal aim in going on a retreat – to stop, listen, reflect, pray, and share experiences with others. After being refreshed by the retreat, we hope that you can see with new eyes, think with new minds, and feel with renewed hearts so that even though you have to go back to your present realities after the retreat, you can go back with a fresh sense of purpose and hopefully, a new sense of mission.
1. First and foremost, AJ is a renowned preacher.
He is leading a religious organization in Davao City named the “Open Family.” They are a Church-based organization that caters to lots of people who wants to feel the Love of God and the Church. Prior to that, AJ was one of the “Feast Builders” of the “Feast,” a movement started by Bro. Bo. Sanchez before AJ found his new calling to a different ministry. He also hosts two different programs in Davao City’s Catholic radio station, DXGN 89.9 Spirit FM
2. AJ makes sure that the spiritual retreats (or recollections) that he facilitates is strongly guided by the teachings of the Church.
AJ is constantly in touch and seeks guidance from his priest-consultants and theologian-academics to make sure that his retreat modules are in consonance with Church teachings.
3. AJ will not only focus on the spiritual aspects but also the psycho-emotional well being of the retreatant.
He will utilize scientific tools in the retreat like Meta-coaching, Neuro-semantics and Neuro Linguistic Programming so that a clearer and better result will be achieved by the retreat.
4. AJ makes sure that all of the different Faiths of his retreatants are welcomed.
He strongly makes sure that religion is not an issue and is not the topic. He focuses more on the personal journey of the retreatant with God, whatever their belief maybe. Even agnostics and “atheists” enjoy AJ’s retreat programs because his topics still touch their daily experiences even on the absence of their faith.
